Decision making
Your child earns virtual money for every correct quiz answer. They get to choose to use it to spend on their avatar, save, donate, or invest in investments in the program, just like they’ll have to in real life.
Experiential learning
The goal is to maximise their net wealth. They can see how their net wealth compares with other students on the leaderboard - it’s a great incentive to stay engaged!
Life learning
The result is they acquire the knowledge and confidence to make good financial decisions as they grow up - when it really matters.

Connecting learning with real life
Within the program there are also an optional 13 parent-child modules.
These are specifically designed for you to complete with your child.
They help reinforce your child’s learning and, most importantly, they put their learning into your family context.
They also give you an opportunity to have some real conversations about money and the future with them.
Learning money management through play
The 30 personal finance lessons are intertwined with a money management game in which your child will:
Learn the value of money
How much different jobs pay, what it costs to get a qualification, how much it costs to buy a house.
Make their own financial decisions
They will learn from making their own decisions within the safety of the program, and seeing the consequences of those decisions.
Learn experientially through trial & error
They can try different approaches to see what results in the best financial outcome. It’s trial and error without risking real money.
Used by more than 100,000 children

What parents are saying
SO happy to have this amazing program for my boys! They're learning real-life lessons like how to figure out want vs. need, saving, & even giving to charity. We're using it as a homeschool elective but it's turned into so much more than that!
— Amy Milcic
My kids love this program. Even my surly teenage son. He has just been explaining how in the program he invested in training to get a better job, and has been investing virtual money. He has now started saving more and spending less real money from his casual job.
- Christian Todd
It was a huge relief to find a reliable, easy to understand resource for my kids. Honestly, I’ve been learning as much about financial literacy as they have! They love the program and look forward to using it.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to complete a lesson?
The 30 self directed lessons take about 30 minutes each to complete.
How much guidance will my child need ?
None! MoneyTime is designed to be self-taught so your child can use the program on their own. However, if you want to, you can work through it with them using the study guide provided.
Why is MoneyTime for children ages 10 to 14?
10-14 is when most children are starting to earn and spend their own money via an allowance or chores. They’re earning it, so they are that much more conscious of it’s value and what they can do with it. MoneyTime teaches good financial habits and a positive mindset right at the start of their financial journey.
What happens after I purchase MoneyTime?
You will receive an email containing instructions about setting up your parent account. You then add your child to your account. Once they have logged in, they’re shown a welcome video and then they’re good to go! MoneyTime can be used on any desktop, laptop or tablet that has an internet connection.
